Cleverciti is reducing global emissions by deploying our smart parking solutions globally: eliminating unnecessary traffic and making parking more convenient for everyone. Our core products are AI and IoT-based parking guidance solutions for customers like cities, shopping malls, airports, and corporations. In addition to reducing emissions from unnecessary driving, we also add value to our clients by growing their revenues and improving their customer experience.

We are currently in a phase of rapid, global expansion and are looking for an experienced and highly-engaged Sales Engineer to join our sales team in Europe, based in our global headquarters: Munich, Germany. Position Summary

As a Sales Engineer, you are responsible for demonstrating the Cleverciti solution to customers and partners and creating a solution design & deployment plan that achieves each prospective customer’s goals. Key target customers include large shopping malls, airports, corporate office parks, and cities. You are based in our global headquarters of Munich, Germany and travel regularly to visit clients and prospects. You will report to the VP Sales for EMEA, based in Munich.


Your key responsibilities:

  • Consult with prospects to understand their business goals and how Cleverciti can add value to their business
  • Deliver quality and tailored presentations of Cleverciti to prospects based on the prospects’ goals and priorities
  • Create solution designs that achieve customers’ goals and maximize efficiency of solution deployment
  • Collaborate closely with Cleverciti Account Executives to develop pricing proposals based on the designed solutions
  • Ensure a smooth hand-off of planning and design data to Cleverciti’s Project Delivery team after deal signing
  • Strive to continuously improve your processes and demonstrate a willingness to learn and implement best practices (including maintaining accurate data in CRM)
  • Gather and share feedback from customers about Cleverciti’s solutions to support a culture of continuous improvement


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Strong technical background, preferably through a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Demonstrated success 3+ years’ experience working in a customer-facing technical role (such as Sales Engineering)
  • Experience with SaaS, IoT, Cloud, Smart City, Smart Parking, Network Infrastructure, and Electric Facilities is preferred (but we know you won’t
    be a deep expert in all these areas!)
  • Comfortable and confident engaging audiences and presenting remotely via web conferencing tools like Zoom
  • Ability to speak with executive-level contacts and ask intelligent questions
  • Ability to understand customer needs and match them with the possibilities of our solutions
  • Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Flexibility and positive attitude – we are a small company and we move fast
  • Fluent in English and German (our company language is English and many of our customers are in DACH)
  • Desire to travel frequently as needed for customer visits or internal meetings
