Our customers worldwide
The City of Cologne’s bustling Nippes neighborhood has over 750 on-street spaces and features the world’s most comprehensive, on-street parking guidance system. The solution covers 100% of available on-street spaces in the area and provides turn-by-turn guidance at every intersection to direct drivers to the nearest on-street parking space. Cleverciti led the project and provided all solution hardware and software components to RheinEnergie, the City’s utility company. Cleverciti and RheinEnergie worked together to deploy the solution which is designed to reduce emissions and time spent searching for parking while increasing energy efficiency and the quality of life for area residents.
Ruhr Park is Germany’s largest open-air shopping mall. It has approximately 2,500 outdoor spaces plus an additional 1,600 spaces in parking garages. Cleverciti deployed its ClevercitiSensors and Circ360 guidance solution throughout the outdoor parking spaces, and now provides turn-by-turn guidance to every open parking space. Cleverciti also integrated its system with the third-party systems that power space detection in the shopping center’s parking garages and with legacy parking guidance signs. This integration allows for one unified guidance system to deliver data on all available parking options to visitors. Prior to deploying the Cleverciti system, the shopping mall had experienced a decline in visitors, recurrent traffic jams along the ring road next to the mall, and frequent complaints about the poor arrival and parking experience. After deploying Cleverciti’s system, visitor count is now higher than it has ever been in history and those visitors are spending even more money per visit which is attributable to the additional time they have to shop and the welcoming arrival experience. Traffic jams are virtually non-existent and customer complaints about parking, both in person and on social media, have gone away.
In the city of Mettmann, VRR/RegioBahn sought to make its park and rides more attractive to travelers to motivate a stronger movement to public transportation. Increased use of public transport is a major priority of the German government as part of its carbon emissions reduction strategy. The organization views parking as critical to its intermodal mobility initiatives, aiming to reduce the number of cars on the road and, consequently, reducing emissions.
Based in Washington, DC, JBG Smith is an S&P 400 company that owns and operates various mixed-use properties. Fairfax Square consists of retail and office space with 52 outdoor parking spaces managed by Cleverciti. Our ClevercitiSensor solution has been deployed to assist with the enforcement of the property’s parking time limit. JBG Smith has access to a ClevercitiCockpit that is specific to this property in order to analyze real-time occupancy. Email notifications for vehicles staying beyond the allowed time limit have also been enabled through the Cleverciti system.
Based in Vancouver, The University of British Columbia (UBC), was the first university in North America to implement Cleverciti’s smart parking solution. ClevercitiSensors have been deployed to provide the best detection possible for one of the University’s surface lots. Currently, the Cleverciti system is monitoring and reporting occupancy for 57 spaces. The data collected is accessible through the ClevercitiCockpit and stored in the cloud. UBC has recently approved expansion of the system to 143 spaced and added dynamic guidance signage.
