Cleverciti and Passport Partner to Digitize Parking for the City of Bend
The City of Bend, OR recently announced a partnership with Cleverciti®, the leading provider of integrated parking intelligence solutions, and Passport, the transportation software company with the only end-to-end digital platform for managing streets and sidewalks. The City is leveraging both solution-provider’s platforms to offer mobile pay parking, parking enforcement and digital parking permits solutions.
Cleverciti is working with Passport and the City to integrate its innovative overhead sensor solution, providing accurate real-time information on the number, location, and direction of free spaces based on AI and deep learning algorithms. Cleverciti sensors provide drivers with real-time parking availability information delivered to Cleverciti Circ LED guidance displays located at various decision points.
The Cleverciti Sensor can cover up to 100 parking spaces and can be easily installed on existing infrastructure, such as lampposts, buildings or masts. With a range of up to 220 degrees, the sensors measure the exact GPS position and size of open parking spaces. Purpose-built for parking operations, the sensors are fully compliant with privacy regulations—all image processing occurs ‘at the edge’ and only metadata leaves the sensors.
Passport’s mobile application for parking payments, allows users to initiate and manage parking sessions directly from their smartphones. With Passport’s digital permitting solution, parkers can manage long-term parking anytime and anywhere through a user-friendly portal. Both solutions allow drivers to safely manage and extend long or short term parking sessions remotely without the need to use coins or to touch parking hardware.
